Bonus Round 2

Bonus Round 1 is now closed, and Bonus Round 2 is now open!

This round, the theme is holidays/special occasions.

If you have an idea for something you'd like to see, please leave the ship, a holiday/special occasion, and any other details as a PROMPT below. After you've posted, read through everyone else's prompts, and leave a FILL for any which catch your eye. Fills can be in any media, and they need not be long, but please put a little effort in--if anyone starts spamming this post for points, we'll be able to tell.

You should place PROMPT/FILL, your current team affiliation and a brief summary in the comment title. Do not forget to change the title of the comment when posting a FILL as a reply to a PROMPT. NSFW prompts and fills should mention this in the summary or at the top of the post. Reminder that team names must be in alphabetical order (ie. Balthazar/Death, not Death/Balthazar) and that portmanteaus (ie. Lubriel, Annaby) are not allowed when identifying team affiliation.

You will be awarded five points per prompt for the first five prompts you leave. The first three fills posted for each prompt will receive 15 points, the next three 10 points, and the next three 5 points. Prompts with ten or more fills will no longer receive fill points.

Bonus rounds are still rarepair only, but you can post prompts or fills for any rare ship this round, including gen/platonic ones (which should be indicated with an & as above). Due to some unforeseen complication from last round, we have changed the rules. It is now 15 points per fill for the first three fills by three different people. So if someone does a fic for Fill 1 and a fanmix for Fill 2, then get 15 + 10 points, and then Person 2 does a fill and Person 3 does a fill, so even though those would be fills 3 and 4, they count as 15 and 15 points since they're fills by new people. You are still not permitted to fill your own prompt. We also encourage people not to fill prompts from their teammates, although the points will not be deducted if you do.

Bonus round fills can include links provided they are publicly viewable. Works can also be cross-posted to other websites, as there is no anonymity requirement in bonus rounds. However, works posted directly to comments will be limited to 16,000 characters by the Dreamwidth comment limit. Longer works should therefore be divided between multiple comments.

Remember, Team Chuck can participate in bonus rounds, and if you change teams, points earned will transfer with you until the end of the team shuffle period.

This round is now closed.

Fill, Team Balthazar/Castiel, New Years Masquerade Ball

[personal profile] destielixer 2013-10-07 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Dean/Jo] THIS is how Dean's mask looks like! And THIS is Jo's. I think Jo will look really beautiful!!! ^^

------

One. News Years Masquerade Balls were stupid. You didn’t get to see anyone’s faces until after the whole thing was over.

Two. The people here were kind of lame. The boys to be precise, trying to get girls numbers by giving the lame excuse of saying that you’ve known them since last year seeing as ‘last year’ was just about a few seconds ago.

Three. Jo didn’t know anyone here and yet her mother had forced her into going.

Four. She had been stupid enough to say yes.

Five. The gaudy masks and vibrant colours all around her weren’t making this any easier for her eyes.

Jo heaved a sigh, and sat down on one of the chairs, watching as the people danced. From the corner of her eye she catches the same silver and black masked dude looking in her direction. He’s been watching her since a quarter past eleven and Jo expects he wants to talk to her. But he’s too shy to make the first move.

There’s something about him though that has her intrigued. She grabs a fizzy apple drink off a waiter’s tray and then walks over to him. He pretends to look away now, not watching her and she shakes her head a smile on her lips for some reason.

“I saw you watching me, mister,” she says taking a sip of her drink.

His lips turn up at the corner, “Who said I was watching you?”

He was teasing her! “Because your eyes have been following me since a quarter past eleven.”

“And you would know this only because you’ve been watching me.”

“Yes,” she answers.

His green eyes sparkle as he turns towards her, “Do you like me?”

“What?” she laughs, “I barely even know you!”

He laughs too, “Same here,” he says, “I just thought you looked very nice.”

Jo felt herself blushing at the compliment, “Thanks. You’re not too bad yourself.”

“So are you here with anyone?” he asks.

Jo shakes her head, “Just…stagging around.”

He laughs at her little joke. Oh god, she feels as lame as the rest of them. Jo realizes that he’s got a really nice laughter; it’s warm and deep and makes her insides feel funny.

“Could I maybe interest you in being my partner?”

Jo falls silent; her heart is racing for a reason she cannot yet understand. “Okay.”

------

As midnight approaches and the New Year Countdown draws nearer, Jo realizes that she is completely at ease with this man at her side. He’s really nice and funny; then again sometimes he can be a little rude and crass as all men are. But Jo finds it bearable with him. A small part of her knows she’s halfway in love with him.

Five. He’s holding her hand now.

Four. He has her in his arms.

Three. He leans in close, their foreheads touching.

Two. She closes her eyes, feeling his breath hot on her lips.

One. Her first kiss is stolen.

As they pull away and the lights turn on, the emcee says that they can remove their masks. Jo is taken aback at the looks of this guy. He’s like some sort of prince charming come to life.

He grins at her and without the silver and black mask, it’s a thousand times better than she expected, “My name is Dean. Dean Winchester.”

Jo nods at his name at a loss for words. ‘Not so smart now are we?’ her thoughts taunt her.

“You?” He prompts, still holding her in his arms.

“Joanna Beth Harvelle, call me Jo,” she says.

Dean smiles, leaning to kiss Jo softly on the lips again, “I’m glad I got to know you Jo.”

And Jo is just as glad. Who knew that her mother’s forcefulness would turn out into something like this?
