Bonus Round 2

Bonus Round 1 is now closed, and Bonus Round 2 is now open!

This round, the theme is holidays/special occasions.

If you have an idea for something you'd like to see, please leave the ship, a holiday/special occasion, and any other details as a PROMPT below. After you've posted, read through everyone else's prompts, and leave a FILL for any which catch your eye. Fills can be in any media, and they need not be long, but please put a little effort in--if anyone starts spamming this post for points, we'll be able to tell.

You should place PROMPT/FILL, your current team affiliation and a brief summary in the comment title. Do not forget to change the title of the comment when posting a FILL as a reply to a PROMPT. NSFW prompts and fills should mention this in the summary or at the top of the post. Reminder that team names must be in alphabetical order (ie. Balthazar/Death, not Death/Balthazar) and that portmanteaus (ie. Lubriel, Annaby) are not allowed when identifying team affiliation.

You will be awarded five points per prompt for the first five prompts you leave. The first three fills posted for each prompt will receive 15 points, the next three 10 points, and the next three 5 points. Prompts with ten or more fills will no longer receive fill points.

Bonus rounds are still rarepair only, but you can post prompts or fills for any rare ship this round, including gen/platonic ones (which should be indicated with an & as above). Due to some unforeseen complication from last round, we have changed the rules. It is now 15 points per fill for the first three fills by three different people. So if someone does a fic for Fill 1 and a fanmix for Fill 2, then get 15 + 10 points, and then Person 2 does a fill and Person 3 does a fill, so even though those would be fills 3 and 4, they count as 15 and 15 points since they're fills by new people. You are still not permitted to fill your own prompt. We also encourage people not to fill prompts from their teammates, although the points will not be deducted if you do.

Bonus round fills can include links provided they are publicly viewable. Works can also be cross-posted to other websites, as there is no anonymity requirement in bonus rounds. However, works posted directly to comments will be limited to 16,000 characters by the Dreamwidth comment limit. Longer works should therefore be divided between multiple comments.

Remember, Team Chuck can participate in bonus rounds, and if you change teams, points earned will transfer with you until the end of the team shuffle period.

"It's too obvious."

"So? Who's going to say anything about it? It's not like we're inviting anyone who doesn't already know."

Castiel stared at the various figurine options that stood on the shelf display. "I don't understand why we're shopping. Couldn't we make them exactly the way we want them?"

Crowley snorted. "Takes all the fun out of it, don't you think?"

"I thought you had a thing for magic." Castiel picked up a tiny ceramic statue of a frog wearing a tiara and a wedding dress, inspected it closely, then set it back down.

"Oh, I do. Don't get the wrong idea." Crowley slipped an arm around Castiel's waist and grinned at him. "But you said you wanted this to be as authentic and human as possible, and the frustration of wedding planning is part of the experience."

Castiel pursed his lips. "I'm beginning to regret that statement."

"Nonsense." The catchy refrain of Love Shack emanated from Crowley's pocket. "Hold on, it's the planner." He answered. "Yes?" A pause. "No, damn it, we decided on devil's food. German chocolate isn't the same... No, I-- he did? Hold on, let me ask him." Crowley shot Castiel a look. "Did you tell her angel food again?"

"No." Castiel shifted uncomfortably and reached to toy with a plastic groom who looked like maybe he'd been manufactured on a day when the mold wasn't set quite right. "Well, maybe."

Crowley rolled his eyes and returned his attention to the phone. "Look, why don't we just do two? One angel food, one devil's food. It's thematic. ...yes, on Wednesday. All right. Right, goodbye."

As soon as he'd hung up the phone, Crowley found a set of tacky invitations being shoved towards his face.

"What about these?"

Crowley snorted again. "They're just awful enough to be charming. Grab a few packs and we'll go look for shoes."

"Aren't you gonna kiss me, Meg?" Castiel asks while holding a cheap plastic imitation sprig of mistletoe above them. Meg just quirks an eyebrow and stares him down while she lowers her magazine.

"Cas, look- this is all a bit much don't you think? It looks like holiday isle of Wal-Mart threw up in here." She takes a quick glance around the living room, there's strings of twinkling lights hanging everywhere, the tree is nearly falling over because Cas doesn't have any sense for ornament placement and he's overloaded one side with one too many plastic gingerbread men, and she knows which presents he tried to wrap, battled with may be a better phrase judging by the paper cuts he gave himself wrestling with the snowflake patterned sheets. Meg glances up from her seat and Cas is still leaning over her, mistletoe in hand and a hopeful glee in his eyes he's not even trying to contain. "Is that tinsel in your hair?"

“I’m waiting Meg, my dear.” And she just rolls her eyes before standing and plucking the metallic string out of his hair, ruffling his dark locks and sending another couple of pieces of glitter scattering over his shoulders.

“You’re nuts and that’s not even real mistletoe, angel-face.” Meg scoffs and turns to leave when she feels Castiel’s strong grip on her wrist and suddenly she’s in his arms. He’s guiding her hands to his shoulders and once he’s sure she’s not gonna yank ‘em away he settles his grip onto her waist, a shy smile fluttering across his mouth as he starts to set up a swaying rhythm.

“I really can’t stay…” He starts to sing and Meg lets out a sigh, ready to start objecting to this nonsense, but he continues, “Baby, its cold outside…”

“Cas, c’mon what’re you-“she can’t really finish the rest of her protest with Castiel’s lips pressed against hers.

“Beautiful, what’s your hurry?” Cas keeps whispering the lyrics against her cheek and lets the briefest twitch of a triumphant smirk forms on his face when he feels the brush of her eyelashes fluttering shut. They drift like that for a while, in the middle of every holiday cliché imaginable littering the room, Castiel humming ‘Baby, Its Cold Outside’ and Meg breathing in his peppermint smell, and it’s just right.

“Well, c’mon Clarence, that tree ain’t gonna fix itself.” Meg gives in later in the night, but only after curling up by the warm fire and forcing Cas to make her hot cocoa with extra marshmallows.

A year after the angels fell and Michael and Lucifer were turned freed from the Cage and lost their graces, they celebrate their first anniversary as humans and face the reality this is who they are now. But they have each other and things don't seem as bad as they did a year ago.

Meg and Abaddon love Halloween. A lot has changed since the times Samhain terrorized the humans and make them hide when the night came. Now it's just so easy to go on a hunt, so they decide to celebrate Halloween like the good old days.

It's someone's birthday, only they're not around to celebrate it, not anymore. But if you can count on loved ones (or even just one particular loved one) for anything, it's reminiscing.

Adam and Jo's child is getting christened, because while neither trusts angels or even God as far as they can spit, there's this rumour a lack of water sprinkled on their forehead sends them straight downstairs.

Bonus if they're lumped with super uptight (and super disapproving) other parents

Crowley departs the cemetery and within seconds returns to the monster prison. Castiel's not around, for which he's grateful; he's not in the mood to explain what he's been dealing with. He sets down the bag of his own bones beneath a table and scowls.

Bobby Singer had done his homework, for sure. He resents having the tables turned, having his privacy invaded like that. There are things in one's past that simply don't require discussion, and his personal demons were supposed to be long dead and gone.

So to speak.

Gavin had never forgiven him for his mother's death. Despite the excruciating efforts he'd put into attempting to heal her, despite the complicated spellwork he'd agonized over, the French disease had claimed her life. If he'd known then what he knows now, he never would've dealt with the client-turned-crossroads-demon who'd charmed him into being selfish and shallow one pleasantly drunken evening—not when years later he could've traded his soul for her health, instead... or for antibiotics in general.

But then, if he'd been a saint in life, he wouldn't be currently seated on hell's throne, would he?

And in turn, unfair as it was, he'd never forgiven Gavin for unwittingly traumatizing his mother when her hips were too narrow to deliver him properly, when she'd torn and bled from the labor. She'd suffered for months afterward, blaming herself, blaming her husband, withdrawing from daily life and leaving Fergus with tending to an infant and struggling to keep his household and his business afloat.

Her organs failed her when Gavin was seventeen, which left him and his son with seven more years of escalating hatred before hellhounds tracked him down and tore him apart. If he'd been sober when he'd arranged the contract, he might've insisted upon an alternate way out that didn't involve the dogs, but hindsight was worthless so many centuries later.

Castiel appears in the room and distracts Crowley from his thoughts.

"What've you been up to?" he asks, as if nothing has transpired in the angel's absence.

"Accessing heaven's weaponry."

Crowley smiles. "Back to it, then."

I always did think that he must have been tricked or drunk when he made the demon deal. I could hardly believe that of all the things to ask for it would be that.

War gets really excited by any days that commemorate wars or conflicts. Considering how many of them there have been in human history, it's almost like Christmas for him every day. And of course, there's the modern conflicts going on. + The other Horsemen might get a bit annoyed because they don't really have any commemorative days.

Jo's birthday is approaching and Charlie has this great idea of making a painting for her. The problem being, she isn't nearly as good artist as she was expecting. (the more fluffy this goes the better tbh)
