Here's your opportunity to get to know your fellow SRSers! (SRSians? SRSites? We're open to suggestions.)  Introduce yourself in the comments. Maybe even reply to each other, if you're feeling especially social.

Suggested topics: Other fandoms you're in, other ships you have, what type of fanwork you create, how long you've been in the SPN fandom... Really, you can talk about whatever you want, this mod is not the best at coming up with introduction prompts.

This is, of course, open to everyone, Team Chuck included.

Okay~ Well, I'm Christian (that's my name, not my religion, to clarify) and I ship...way too many things to list. I'm writing this while watching SNK so there's that. I write, and while I prefer to write multi-chaptered fics, I'm more likely to finish shorter ones, so I'm glad there's a word limit here.

I've been in the SPN fandom since around mid-to-late season 7, which I remember because I rushed a lot to try and get to the Hallucifer arc.

Hi, I'm Fiona and I pretty much casually ship almost all SPN pairings, though I'm currently signed up for Castiel/Crowley which I've adored ever since season 6. I'm usually a one shot writer as my attention span doesn't last long enough for me to do multi-chaptered. I dabble in photoshop but I'm not that terribly good. I'm a late comer to SPN and I caught up around when season 7 happened. I'm in a boatload of other fandoms like Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time, Hannibal, Harry Potter, and in fact the fandom I've written the most for is Pirates of the Caribbean (embarassing, but in my defence it was some years ago). I'm also an avid videogame fan and the last one I beat was Bioshock Infinite. I'm an English Major/History Minor (specializing in Europe).

I'm Karen (wow, really, I couldn't tell by your username) and my major ships (well in this fandom at least) are Crowstiel (my otp of otps), Sastiel, Denny, Mooseley, Debriel...Basically this was made for me because my armada is nothing but rare ships. I am a late latecomer to the game because I started watching SPN back in February of this year and managed to get caught up to only watch the s8 finale as it aired. Yeah, so this new one is going to be my first season of SPN with all of you guys. I am mostly a fic writer, though my spark isn't always there so I'm not super productive. I have to do things like this to really get me going. I also can do some things in Photoshop but I still have much to learn (and by learn I mean look up tutorials for). My other fandoms are Doctor Who, some dabbling in Sherlock, Cabin Pressure (well that fandom has kind of faded away since the season ended in February - get your butt moving Finnemore, we need the Z episode),and most recently White Collar. Which I need to finish up two more seasons before Oct. 17 so wish me luck. Another fandom I was in a while ago was the classic rock fandom (well, more like fandom conglomerate because each band has its own fandom, but it's hard not to post stuff from other bands as well because you're just familiar with the genre as a whole). Just like my fellow teammate, I'm an English major (with a concentration in Literature) and am hoping to add the History minor with it (we're gonna get along well, huh, Fiona?). Uhhh...I can't think of anything else to say, oh well.

My fellow team member, hello! I guess I'm going to go with the really stock question and ask what your favourite book is? Mine is And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. (I adore Poirot as well, though I've only seen the television show). My classes this term are split between english and history: ancient Greek history and the Middle Ages and one more general course (renaissance to 17th century, focusing on the progression of the idea of the self). For literature, I'm doing earlier 17th century (although so far the books we've done have been far before that - such as Romance of the Rose and Le Morte D'Arthur) and my other one is a course on Milton (we'll be reading the entirety of Paradise Lost).

I feel pretty split between Good Omens and 1984 when it comes to favorite books at the moment (I know, what a range). And I say at the moment because with every book I pick up, who knows if it may end up becoming my favorite instead. I've read an Agatha Christie novel as well, Murder on the Orient Express, and I've been meaning to read more of her works. Then again, my life just seems to be some big "I've been meaning to *insert task here*" I'm too forgetful. I seriously can't wait until I have a semester that's so focused on my major/minor. I'm only a freshman in her first semester, so I'm taking a lot of my gen ed courses right now. At least my professors are all awesome, they make it worthwhile.

I've read both of those books and definitely place them way up there. I love Neil Gaiman's work in general although I haven't gotten around to reading American Gods yet which seems to be a fan favourite. Shamefully, I haven't gotten around to reading Murder on the Orient Express. I certainly understand being forgetful and not getting around to reading many books - considering how many I go through in a term I have no time or ambition to read anything other than what's on my syllabus. :/ I'm in my third year so I'm past the whole 'take random courses in your first year', which went pretty badly for me because I took some science courses that didn't go well. >____> Although in first year I was considering being a Psychology major, which I eventually decided against. I'm glad your professors are good, that's always the most important. I have one really wacky professor where thus far we haven't done anything course relevant in two weeks.

Yeah, I feel like it's going to be the same way once I have more English courses in a semester, I'm not going to have the motivation to read much else than what's assigned in class. And you reminded me that I have to take a science course at some point, and it'll probably be biology because everyone takes biology it seems, and it's my least favorite science and I don't want this. And that'll probably be next semester as well. Though if everything works out right, after this semester I'll never have to take math again, and that makes me happy. But ooh, that sounds like a terrible professor. I mean, it's one thing to have someone that goes on tangents from time to time (like my French professor), but to not do anything relevant at all in that long? I wish you luck.

I took biology (which was what I supposed to take for psych) and I sucked at it, so I wish you luck. My former roommate is a chemistry major and I don't envy the courses she has to take at all. I never had to take math - though I would have had to take statistics if I'd done psychology (there's a pattern that leads to why I became an English major). Ehhh... well, I heard as a professor he's pretty easy so I'm not incredibly worried (yet) and he's very funny in class so it kind of feels more like I have an hour and a half break than actual class. What courses are you taking this semester?

Yeah, there's a reason I didn't even go into anything science related. I almost became a chemistry major, but then I realized how much math would be involved, and realized I didn't love chemistry enough to put up with all of it, so that was the end of that. This semester I'm taking an American government course, US History to 1877, French 1 (it's a requirement of the BA program here that we must reach a certain proficiency in a foreign language), excursions math (I don't even know what it is we're learning, it's just all over the place), and two courses entitled Modes of Discourse for the Honors Program I'm in. The one is a public speaking type course, and the other is a writing course designed to be the Honors version of the first year writing course everyone is mandated to take at the university. Again though, it feels like it's all over the place. I mean, the other day our professor showed us a part of a Wagner opera. I don't understand what it had to do with writing, but he seems to be very much an advocate of exposing yourself to as much culture as possible, so I guess I learned something from it.

Hi. I'm Elisabeth and I am chronically awkward, so you have to bare with me. I have my fingers in many nerdy pies with Supernatural being the main one right now. It's a love hate relationship that brings out the critical feminist inside me. I with defend and protect most of the ladies on that show to the death and I feel they often deserved much better than they got.
I mostly do graphics and GIF sets and fanmixes. I'm not much of a writer but I've been known to dabble in it with often disastrous results.

As far as what am I about - I'm really boring I promise. I read a good deal and spend most of my day on the computer working with photoshop and am busy not getting paid for it. -.- I'm taking a break from school which is turning out to be a lot longer than expected.

Ummmm, I have a split uvula - does that count as interesting?

Hello! I keep meaning to have a long conversation with you but I always get around to forgetting to do so - I'm machiavellique on tumblr. You're absolutely fabulous where it comes to graphics (one of the icons you made is made my current avatar~) and you're probably the person on my dash who posts any femmeslash (my dash is severely lacking in that department), as well as giving some love to the underrated women on SPN. So... hey~

Yo there — I'm Gale, a fifteen-year-old chick who's somewhat [ very ] obsessed with Supernatural ladies [ and a few others, but mainly the ladies ]. I have a shitton of ships that are all rarepairs and almost all femslash, nearly all of which involve demons because all of the demons are beautiful creatures. I think my main ships would be Ruby/Lilith, Ruby/Tammi, Meg/Abaddon, and... basically, Abaddon/Nearly Every Demon As Well As Non-Human Female, though for SRS 2013 I'm part of the Annaby team [ cute little fuckers that they are ]. I'm not really in that many fandoms, Supernatural being my primary one with Teen Wolf my other one of some note, and I've only been part of TV-fandom Tumblr in general for a few months if I remember correctly. Which I probably don't.

Uhh, I'd consider myself a writer and a sorta-artist in just the drawing with pen on paper way, and kinda a critical ass about graphics but not so prolific with making them myself.

[ I also cuss more than I should, in case it isn't so obvious. ]

S'nice to meet your acquaintance, all of you? <8

I'm Johannes, or Hans. Referred to by a lot of people as "Dictionary" though, thus the assdictionary on here. I'm dictionarywrites & justdictionaryswriting on Tumblr. I don't really have an OTP - I'm pretty much a multishipper of anything that crosses my path, though in SPN my favourites are probably Crowley/Sam (go team?), Annaby and Crobby.
I'm in quite a lot of fandoms, main ones at the moment probably SPN, Harry Potter and Welcome To Night Vale at the moment. I'm a biiiiig writer, though as of recent I've been struggling with a bit of a block. I'm hoping it'll dissipate and I can get back to my usual speed though! I'm working towards a goal of 500k word count on Ao3 at the moment, and I've only got about 45, 000 words left to go, so I'm hoping doing this challenge will help get me back into my groove.
It's nice to see you all! :)

Hiya! I'm Felicia, I have a fez, my main fandoms are Buffy, Supernatural, Warehouse 13, Welcome to Nightvale, and Doctor Who. I usually consider myself more of a roleplayer than a writer, but I'm told my writing is good when I can actually sit down to write, which is not something I typically do, but I joined this contest mostly to help with actually sitting down to write more, and since I've played Charlie for a good deal of time in a roleplay I figured I'd do pretty okay in the competition bits. Oh yeah, and it didn't hurt that one of my favourite tumblr blogs was also on my team as a factor of my joining. My favourite ships are Spike and Drusilla, Bering and Wells, Charlie and Jo (That is what team I'm on, after all), Steve Carlsberg and anybody in Desert Bluffs just so he ends up moving there, and Claudia and Fargo.

Hi, I'm Noelle. I have a love-hate relationship with the show, too - I used to be a big destiel fan, but then I got so annoyed at sexism in the source material that I retreated almost entirely into femslash and ladyfandom. Anna/Jo is my main thing, and I'm excited to be on that team! Jo is one of my favorite characters of all time. I also like anything to do with Meg or Ruby. I have a lot of fandoms, most notably Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Defiance, Firefly, and Star Trek. I like to write, but I have trouble finishing things, so I'm excited about the shorter format for this fest.

It's nice to meet people! You're cool.

I'm currently signed up for Anna/Ruby, although I ship about 75% of spn pairings, including Wincest, Sastiel, DeanCas, Anna/Jo, Charlie/Jo and Dean/Michael. I can be pretty annoying and I wank all the time. My interests include literature, fashion and social justice and English is my 2nd language.

Hello everyone! My name is Joan and i've signed up for Balthazar/Castiel my second fave ship after Destiel. Apart from Supernatural i'm also into stuff like Hannibal, Sherlock, Once Upon A Time, Doctor Who, Welcome to Nightvale, Merlin, Game of Thrones. Well the list goes on and on so i'm just going to stop here. I've been into Supernatural from the very beginning and this show is just getting sadder and sadder! It's hard not to watch it and not have tissues prepared beside me. I've been writing since i was young and up till now i've a good 45 fanfics under my wing (amongst a ton of other unfinished and unposted stories in my folders) as of now. I really love to write, like seriously. And i also love to read, i think those two come hand in hand. I'm currently on a break from school and yeah, that's about it. Hey there! I'm curious what fandom you've written most of those fics for (as I said in my intro post, most of mine were for POTC, though in retrospect the majority aren't very good). Chemistry is a boatload of work so you probably made a good choice there - she had to do math, biology, chemistry, and physics. Yikes! Ah, bonjour! I live in Canada so I've done French ever since I was a kid (and I happen to live in the french part of Canada currently). A public speaking course, ugh. I absolutely hate public speaking and I'd probably take being tortured by Alastair over it... Hmm, I don't necessarily think your professor is wrong to expose people to a lot of high culture, although it's very much 'your mileage may vary'. Classical music doesn't do much for me (other than put me to sleep).

Heyyy:) Well i've written mostly for Sherlock and Hannibal and (shamelss self advertising here) you can check out my works on FFN, or AO3 i work on FFN more though. I liked Renly and Loras (because hello openly gay scenes!) and next to that it would have to be Jon Snow and Arya Stark. Hmm as for who i want to be king/queen at the end, i'd pick Arya as the queen and the rightful king for her (i hope no one kills me for this) will be Jaquen.

Yeah, that's exactly what I realized I would have to do if I was a chem major, so I just jumped right out of that one! I just don't have enough dedication to chemistry to want to take all those kinds of classes. And my French is pretty basic, I did take some French in high school, but the placement exam put me all the way at the bottom (the only questions in which I actually knew what I was doing were things we had just learned in my high school French 2 class). I wish I was more exposed to French like that, then all I'd have to do is pass the proficiency exam and I wouldn't need to take 4 courses of French. I don't mind public speaking, but I know I'm not the best at it, so it's probably a good thing I do have to take this course. We had to do impromptu speeches, and I did mine on Thursday (the rest will be on Tuesday) and I seriously felt like I was just rambling out shit and not really making a whole lot of coherent sense. I also felt like I was repeating myself a lot. But I seriously had barely any time to prepare, so what do you expect?

hi, I'm James. i love reading and writing fanfic but usually don't finish writing things, so i wanted to push myself to write more by joining a team so i'd actually have to contribute. i'm on team benny/dean, but some other ships i love are dean/cas, sam/crowley, charlie/jo, (and meg/cas depending on my mood). it was actually pretty hard picking a team.
other fandoms i'm in: sherlock (i ship johnlock so hard i don't even care if it's the most common/expected ship), harry potter (the more i think about draco/harry, the more i like it), doctor who (not so much anymore, but i loved 9 and 10), and i'm just starting to get into the night vale fandom. oh, and also lost girl- i've only watched the first season and haven't been reading fanfiction to avoid spoilers, but i ship dyson/bo and kenzi/hale
i'm in my senior year of high school, working on college applications, and feel that this competition is a better use of my time than working on my essays. and i'm on tumblr a lot. same username.

Is your username here the same as the on on AO3? (I'm always looking to read some Hannibal fics~) Ah, a big Stark fan! I like Arya a lot and I hope she manages to live through the series. Jaquen is very awesome (although I'm sorry about his face change, he was so handsome...). I think Arya might be a good pick for queen, although I don't really have any I'm super vouching for since they're all problematic. My favourite character is Varys (and I love the Varys/Petyr conversations in the show) because he seems to be by far the best "player" there is.

Yes it's the same, though I post lesser works on my AO3 than I do on my FFN account. Yes! If they end up killing off Arya too I'll be done with the show for good! (okay maybe not) I totally agree! Jaquen should never have had a face change! Oh yes Varys the Spider haha he's indeed very smart and the way he uses people to his advantage makes me feel bad for them but it's for him to save himself so~ I would do that in his position to if I were that smart haha :)

Hi. You can call me Blue. I'm still really new to this fandom, since I only started watching this year, but I'm almost caught up now.
Being so new to the fandom is one of the reasons I decided to join Team Chuck instead of one of the main ship teams. So, you'll probably see me lurking around the bonus rounds.
I'm in a lot of other fandoms: Star Trek (the fandom I've been in all my life), Firefly, Welcome to Nightvale, and Homestuck (the other reason I didn't join a main team is that I just finished the Homestuck Shipping World Cup as a team leader, so getting into another competition right away seemed way too stressful).
I love rarepairs, so this competition is perfect for me. My main spn ship is Bobby/Crowley (no lie) but I casually ship most everything to some degree. So, I look forward to seeing what all of you do in the main rounds.
I mostly spend my time reading and writing fanfiction and just generally avoiding doing actual adult stuff so... yeah. Hi.
