Bonus Round 1
Bonus Round 0 is now closed, and Bonus Round 1 is now open! Let's get creating, shall we?
This round, the theme is book-based AUs.
If you have an idea for something you'd like to see, please leave a book title, the characters involved, and any other details as a PROMPT below. Then read through everyone else's prompts, and leave a FILL for any which catch your eye. Fills can be in any media, and they need not be long, but please put a little effort in--if anyone starts spamming this post for points, we'll be able to tell.
You should place PROMPT/FILL, your current team affiliation and a brief summary in the comment title. NSFW prompts and fills should mention this in the summary or at the top of the post.
You will be awarded five points per prompt for the first five prompts you leave. The first three fills posted for each prompt will receive 15 points, the next three 10 points, and the next three 5 points. Prompts with ten or more fills will no longer receive fill points.
Bonus rounds are still rarepair only, but you can post prompts or fills for any rare ship this round, including gen/platonic ones (which should be indicated with an & as above). However, you may not fill your own prompt. We also encourage people not to fill prompts from their teammates, although the points will not be deducted if you do.
Bonus round fills can include links provided they are publicly viewable. Works can also be cross-posted to other websites, as there is no anonymity requirement in bonus rounds. However, works posted directly to comments will be limited to 16,000 characters by the Dreamwidth comment limit. Longer works should therefore be divided between multiple comments.
Remember, Team Chuck can participate in bonus rounds, and if you change teams, points earned will transfer with you until the end of the team shuffle period.

Team Castiel/Lucifer. Hunchback of Notre Dame
Fill, Team Balthazar/Castiel, Hunchback of Notre Dame [Part 1]
The fists rained down on him, the smell of rubber as their shoes kicked him filled his nostrils. Lucifer curled tighter into a ball, hands covering his head as he tried to protect himself from their blows. He sobbed silently as they beat him and called him names.
“Look at you Lucy!” they taunted him. "You're so ugly!" “How could you even think of asking anyone to prom?”
They laughed, loud and boisterous, spitting at him. He bore it all.
“Don’t stare at me you ugly piece of shit,” the boy said hand raised, poised to hit him.
But the blow never came.
“Dean, stop.”
It was the voice of an angel. Lucifer blinked as he looked up, coming out of his cowering position. He saw who it was that had stopped Dean. It’s the boy from his class, Castiel Novak, the good boy who was friends with the bad boys.
“Cas, he was hitting on Jo.”
“What did he do?” Castiel asked.
“He was gonna ask her to prom.”
Castiel looked to Lucifer who lay slumped against the lockers in the hallway. He was the boy with the disfigured face. The burn marks covering the majority of it was what made him the object of ridicule in this school. It was the reason why the bullies always targeted him. Because he was ugly. He looked to Lucifer, “Were you?” he asked, his voice gentle.
“I would say no but he wouldn’t believe me,” Lucifer growled glaring at Dean.
Castiel put his hand on Dean’s shoulder as the boy moved in again, wanting to hit Lucifer. He felt Dean tense beneath his touch, “Go,” he said. He didn’t want to see them fight any more.
Dean sighed exasperated as he shook Castiel’s hand off of him, “Don’t waste your time on this shit,” he muttered then he left, taking the crowd with him down the hallway.
The teachers didn’t seem to give a damn about him either which was why he was shocked that Castiel even spoke up to save his skin. “Take my hand,” Castiel said holding his hand out to the other boy who stared at him wide-eyed and unbelieving. “I’m not going to hurt you I swear.”
Lucifer knew that was true he could see it in the boy’s eyes. He took Castiel’s hand and pulled himself up, grimacing as his body protested, still in pain from all the kicks and punches. He lurched forward, unsteady.
“They got you pretty bad,” Castiel mused as he supported Lucifer around the waist, headed towards the sickbay.
Fill, Team Balthazar/Castiel, Hunchback of Notre Dame [Part 2]
“Yeah, don’t worry about it,” the boy answered giving him a smile, a genuine smile that showed in his blue eyes. “I should get going,” he said looking to the wall clock, “I’ve got a class in five.”
“Ah-wait,” he said stopping Castiel just as he was about to leave. The nurse was already tending to him, cringing at the unsightly burn marks that covered his face. Lucifer didn’t need to look at her twice to know that she, like the rest of the people around him, disliked him for his looks.
Castiel turned, “What?”
“I…” Lucifer looked away, he didn’t know how to phrase this. “Why?” he asked. Why save him? Surely Castiel had some sort of reputation that he wanted to keep. Saving him and associating himself with him, the school’s ‘King of Fools’ as Dean had so rightly named him would be a great no-no.
Castiel shrugged, “It was the right thing to do,” he said. People needed to know that. Lucifer was still a human despite his disfigured face, he was still a living-breathing boy and it was wrong for people to shun him like this, to treat him like shit. “And Dean’s a bastard for trying to hit you for no reason.”
Lucifer laughed, “You’d best not let him hear you say that.”
Castiel shook his head. How Lucifer could still be so cheerful after all that…he couldn’t understand. “You rest well now,” he said, turning his back to the boy, “see you around.”
“Yeah, see you…” he whispered voice trailing off as Castiel left. It was like the room had been cast into darkness once more with the other boy gone. The only kindness that had ever been shown to him had come from that one boy.
In that moment, Lucifer felt a growing warmth, a yearning towards Castiel.
He knew that it wouldn’t go away anytime soon. And though he didn’t want to acknowledge it, he knew that there was a small part of him that was attracted to Castiel. A small part that loved him and was drawn towards him…
…drawn like a moth to a flame.
